  18.                                 INSTALLATION
  19.  
  20.    To  conserve  space, the Fixed Asset Pro  disk(s)  contain  compressed
  21.    versions of Fixed Asset Pro program files.
  22.    Fixed  Asset Pro requires a hard disk with at least 2 MB of free  disk
  23.    space  for  installation.  The  Fixed  Asset  Pro  program  will   use
  24.    approximately 1.5 MB of disk space after it is installed.

  26.    The  first time you run Fixed Asset Pro you will be asked for  a  data
  27.    subdirectory.  We recommend that you keep your data in a  subdirectory
  28.    other than the FApro subdirectory. The default is "Prodata".

  30.    Fixed Asset Pro installation is simple as 1 2 3.
  31.         1) Insert disk 1 into the correct drive for the disk(s)
  32.            (5-1/4 or 3-1/2).
  33.         2) If you put the disk in A: then at the DOS prompt type
  34.              A:Install
  35.            If you put the disk in B: then at the DOS prompt type
  36.              B:Install
  37.            Press <Enter>.
  38.         3) Follow the onscreen prompts while Install steps you
  39.            through the installation.
  40.    When the Install program is finished, you can start Fixed Asset Pro by
  41.    typing:   FApro <Enter>.
  42.    If you need Black & White mode type:   FApro M  <Enter>

  44.    For  those who like to do their own installations, the files are  self
  45.    extracting.  You may copy the  two  files (FAproA.Exe,  FAproB.Exe) to
  46.    a subdirectory on your  hard drive using the  DOS  Copy  command.  The
  47.    recommended subdirectory name is "FApro". Once you have copied the two
  48.    files into  your subdirectory  just run FAproA  and FAproB to  extract
  49.    all the files. After both programs have finished you should delete the
  50.    two  files (FAproA.Exe,  FAproB.Exe)  from  your  subdirectory.  Fixed
  51.    Asset Pro requires that  the FILES= statement in your  Config.Sys file
  52.    be set  to 30 or greater.
